A Valuable Treasure for the City
Monument preservation has always played an important role in Frankfurt. With more than 8,000 architectural, garden, and artistic monuments, the city’s architectural heritage represents a valuable treasure for the city.
Founded in 1994 by prominent Frankfurt figures, the Frankfurt Monument Forum has been working with the city’s monuments since its inception and supports numerous projects, activities, and publications in this context.
In the summer of 2022, long-time chairman, master painter and retired city councilor Peter Mensinger, stepped down due to age. Prof. Zvonko Turkali, who was unanimously elected as the new chairman at the association’s general meeting, will follow in his footsteps.
In addition to Prof. Turkali, the President of the Chamber of Crafts, Susanne Haus, the auditor Erhard Theil, the regional director of Frankfurter Volksbank eG, Juan Aragon and Ursula Henrich from Henrich Druck + Medien GmbH are members of the board.
