The design rules developed by Zvonko Turkali Architekten serve as the basis for all branch conversions at Frankfurter Sparkasse. The aim of the set of rules is to increase the recognition value of the Sparkasse and to emphasize the close ties between the Frankfurt institution and the Sparkassen Finanzgruppe.

On the one hand, the concept defines recurring elements such as fixtures and furniture as well as colors and surface materials; on the other hand, it offers design principles that can be adapted to the different spatial conditions. A few months after the guidelines were drawn up, a first prototype was realized in the Hanauer Landstraße branch.
