The volume of the standalone building responds to the specific characteristics of each setting. At the passage leading from Rheinallee, it presents a clearly defined corner and solid parapets at the loggias. On the square-facing and waterfront sides, by contrast, the volume dissolves with increasing height through the use of glazed parapets. The subtle bends in the floor plan of the almost square building diffuse the incoming daylight across the rendered façade and emphasise the verticality of the standalone structure.
