Between 2001 and 2003, a new parish hall building was built in the immediate vicinity of the sacristy of the Mariaenamen Catholic parish in Hanau, which had been completed a few years earlier. The new building was built in the inner courtyard of a building ensemble that also belongs to the community, which consists of three buildings positioned along the street. The new parish hall building and the existing buildings form a rectangular stone square that is slightly elevated towards the street. It serves to create an address and at the same time offers space for a variety of outdoor events. An underground car park with 24 parking spaces has been built below the square.

The entrance to the parish hall building, which is made of solid natural stone, is highlighted by a wide canopy and extensive glazing.

Located on the same level as the ground floor of the neighboring Dechant-Diel-Haus, the foyer located along the long side of the building incorporates the main uses: the event hall, which can accommodate around 150 people, including the necessary sanitary facilities as well as a sideboard and wardrobe.

Wall and floor surfaces covered with natural stone, oak fittings and lateral daylight characterize the atmosphere of the foyer. The intimate atmosphere of the adjacent hall is created by the diffuse daylight that reaches the room in various ways, the visible roof structure made of reinforced concrete and the oak wood already used in the foyer.

A mobile wall panel suspended from the side supports divides the hall into two rooms, the size of which can vary depending on requirements.
