In collaboration with the city of Ludwigshafen, the client DIRINGER & SCHEIDEL company group from Mannheim has called for tenders in a design competition with five participating architectural firms for the development of a prominent location at the Rheinufer Sued in Ludwigshafen. Last Friday the jury, comprised of architects, politicians and the investors, has recommended the realization of the submission by Turkali Architekten. The detached eight story residential building constitutes the south entrance within the new residential quarter. Generously dimensioned window areas, loggias, roof decks and white awnings are distinctive for the maritime appearance of the plastered building.

Due to its location by the water, proximity to the city center and size, Rheinufer Sued is one of the most significant development areas in Ludwigshafen. At the present time the marketing and development of construction site 6 as the last undeveloped area of the quarter’s premises is being initiated.
