In collaboration with the regional evangelical association, the Evangelical-Lutheran Church St. Nicolai is planning to build a new civic center and a multistory residential building at their site.

Turkali Architekten were awarded the first prize and recommended for the realization at a competition with renowned architectural firms and with the involvement of the community members.

The design by Turkali Architekten features a large courtyard located in between the church and the new residential building. Essential functions of the civic center, such as a community hall, group rooms and offices are situated around the courtyard and complement its diverse potential use.
