Groundbreaking of the Boarding School in Weiterstadt

The groundbreaking on the premises of the profession and technology center in Weiterstadt initializes the construction work for the new boarding school of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts Frankfurt-Rhein-Main.
 
The approximately 60-meter long and four stories high building along Rudolf-Diesel-Strasse will provide accommodation for 85 apprentices as well as supervisors and lecturers.
 
Numerous apprentices, representatives of the regional and community politics as well as the Chamber of Skilled Crafts joined the festive groundbreaking ceremony on the construction site. During her speech, Susanne Haus, vice president of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts Frankfurt-Rhein-Main, emphasized the outstanding importance of the boarding school for the dual vocational training and thanked the state of Hesse as well as the German Federal Republic for the financial support of the project. Stefan Grüttner, Hessian state minster for Social Affairs and Integration, highlighted the successes as well as the high social and technical competencies of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts regarding the education and advanced training in more than 130 different craft occupations.
 
The completion of the approximately 7.5 million Euro new building is planned for midyear 2018.
