Turkali Architekten are awarded the Contract

The chamber of crafts Frankfurt Rhein-Main has carried out a European wide VOF procedure including a planning competition in order to build a boarding school within the VET and Technology Center, Weiterstadt. Turkali Architekten have won the selection process.

The boarding school offers lodging for 85 apprentices. Several event and recreational rooms complement the space allocation plan and therefore make the building an important port of call.

The four story building is planned along the street Rudolf-Diesel. Connected by a bridge structure with the adjoining entrance building, the complex defines a green courtyard, which is suitable for a variety of outdoor activities.

The start of construction is planned for March 2016, its completion for May 2017.

Founded in 1972 the VET and Technology Center belongs to the most renowned educational facilities in Germany. Apprentices and professionals use the facilities for training.
