Day of Architecture 2021

26.04.2021
Turkali Architekten is represented with three projects at this year's Day of Architecture

The Day of Architecture, organized by the Chamber of Architects of Hesse for the 27th time in a row, will take place again this year despite Covid. From a total of 86 submitted projects, an independent jury has selected 59 examples of good architecture. They can be toured by the interested public on the last weekend in June.

Turkali Architekten is represented with three realized projects: A sports hall in wood construction in Frankfurt-Preungesheim, a boarding school in Weiterstadt owned by the Frankfurt Rhein-Main Chamber of Skilled Crafts as well as a building from the Biedermeier era in Wiesbaden, which was renovated in close cooperation with the Hessian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments and Historical Buildings. The jury is convinced that all three projects are particularly suitable for highlighting the significance of the architectural environment closer to a large public audience.

The practical organization of the Day of Architecture under the nationwide motto "Architecture shapes the future" on June 26 and 27, 2021, will depend on the Covid protection regulations valid at that time. Guided tours around the individual projects, city walks or hybrid alternatives are possibilities.

In addition to the entries selected this year, projects that were selected for the Day of Architecture 2020 and could not be visited due to Covid will also be involved this year.
