Tours of Turkali Architekten well attended

More than fifty people with an interest in architecture took up the offer by Turkali Architekten to join the guided tours through buildings in Frankfurt, Wiesbaden and Weiterstadt on this year's 28th Day of Architecture.

In the north of Frankfurt, Prof. Zvonko Turkali led a tour through a sports hall in the Sports Park Frankfurt-Preungesheim, which was completed in 2017 and built using wood construction. In addition to exploring the approximately 6.5 hectare compound, visitors had the opportunity to enter the 45 meter long and 27 meter wide sports venue.

Dominik Loh, senior architect at Turkali Architekten, gave a guided tour of a Biedermeier building at Luisenstrasse 7 in Wiesbaden, which was renovated under aspects of historic preservation. The Center for Criminology (Kriminologische Zentralstelle, KrimZ) and the National Agency for the Prevention of Torture are located there since the end of 2020. The building is usually not open to the public. Further, a boarding school built by Turkali Architekten on behalf of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main Chamber of Skilled Crafts in Weiterstadt, Hesse, opened its doors to the public.
