Prof. Turkali appointed as founding member

The Linz City Council has appointed the members for the newly established Climate Advisory Council.

Prof. Turkali, who is already part of the Linz Architectural Advisory Board, is one of eight appointed experts from various fields.

"When it comes to climate protection, all government parties are working together despite any political differences. In 2020, the city will increasingly focus on measures to reduce emissions and global warming. Today's meeting of the Climate City Senate was the launch of the Climate Advisory Council and Climate Fund," explained Mayor Klaus Luger after the meeting of the City Senate.

With a budget of one million euros, the committee will advise city politicians on climate-related projects in the future.

The first meeting of the advisory council is scheduled for September 2020.
