Ernst Zinsser – Models of his Buildings

09.11.2016
Exhibition and Book Launch in Hannover

Ernst Zinsser is one of the most prominent architects that were involved in the reconstruction of Hannover. His various buildings of different sizes and uses are closely linked to the cityscape. Due to his long-term professorship at the former Technical University, today called Leibniz University Hanover, he influenced an entire generation of prospective architects.

The Chamber of Architects of Lower Saxony is currently hosting an exhibition about renowned architects, which was conceptualized and realized by the institute of design and building typologies, Prof. Zvonko Turkali.

The exhibition shows photographs of Zinsser’s buildings and large-sized facades – as well as cutaway models that were developed in the course of a seminar about Zinsser’s life and work, led by research assistant Dr. Jens Broszeit.

At the same time, Jovis published the German book “The architect Ernst Zinsser – Models of his Buildings in Hanover”.

The exhibition can be visited from the 9th of November until the 12th of December at the “Laveshaus” of the Chamber of Architects of Lower Saxony, Friedrichswall 5, 30159 Hanover. The exhibition opening and book launch are on the 8th of November at 6 pm.
