Es wurde in den 1960er Jahren in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft zum ehemaligen Stadtschloss, heute Sitz des Hessischen Landtags, dem im Stil der deutschen Renaissance erstellten Rathaus der Stadt und der ebenfalls zur Gemeinde geh\u00f6renden neugotischen Marktkirche erbaut.<br \/>Die Besonderheiten des denkmalgesch\u00fctzten Geb\u00e4udes stellen seine im Stil der Moderne entwickelte, feingliedrige Fassade und der weithin sichtbare Friedrich-Naumann-Saal dar, der im ersten und zweiten Obergeschoss angeordnet ist.<\/p>\n<p>Die erforderlichen Umbau-, Sanierungs- und Erg\u00e4nzungsma\u00dfnahmen des Bestands setzen sich behutsam mit der bestehenden Geb\u00e4udestruktur auseinander.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Unter Wahrung der \u00e4u\u00dferen Erscheinung ist die Fassade nach energetischen Gesichtspunkten saniert worden.<br \/>Hofseitig erfolgte eine kleine Erweiterung des Bestands. Auf einer geringen Grundfl\u00e4che von nur 40 Quadratmetern zeigt der Anbau seine besondere Leistungsf\u00e4higkeit. Das Erdgeschoss bietet Raum f\u00fcr eine Garderobe sowie ein behindertengerechtes WC,\u00a0 das erste Obergeschoss verf\u00fcgt nun \u00fcber ein gr\u00f6\u00dferes, der intensiven Nutzung des Friedrich-Naumann-Saals angemessenes Foyer.<\/p>\n<p>Die Neuorganisation des Geb\u00e4udes st\u00e4rkt seinen \u00f6ffentlichen Charakter und macht es zu einer zentralen Einrichtung der Evangelischen
