Topping Out Ceremony of the Three Fields Sports Hall of the Sports Park Preungesheim in Frankfurt am Main

The three fields sports hall designed by Turkali Architekten is topped out ten months after the groundbreaking ceremony. The new building is constructed as part of the new sports park Preungesheim, a sports park that is considered one of the largest athletics grounds in Frankfurt am Main with a surface area of 6.5 hectare.

Alderman Markus Frank commended the spatial quality of the new building in his speech and added that it is now “…important to have our sport teams fill the grounds with life.”

The new building, that is largely a wood construction, is designed as a daylight hall. 36 skylight elements as well as a roof light along the entire long side of the hall ensure even lighting. The interior design is adapted to the construction and exterior appearance and is entirely wood faced.

The completion of the sports hall is scheduled for November 2016.
